Connecting your Payfast merchant account with your Woocommerce website

If you have an online shop on WordPress and you want to use Payfast as your payment gateway, you need to connect the two with API keys. These keys can be found inside of your Payfast account. In this article we’ll explain where to find your Merchant ID and Key.

To find your Merchant ID and Key after your account has been verified, do the following:

1. Log in to your PayFast account.
2. Navigate to Account > Personal Information.
3. Your Merchant ID and Key can be found on the top right-hand corner of the page.

To find your Passphrase:

To enable the passphrase on your account, do the following:

1. 1. Log in to your PayFast account.
2. 2. Navigate to Settings > Developer settings.
3. 3. Enter your Security Passphrase and click Save. Please note: Your passphrase cannot be more than 32 characters.
